The second batch of Eastern Bluebird eggs hatched last weekend (June 1 – June 2). Well, four of the five eggs hatched and we are still hoping egg number five will make it. To help the parents out, I went to our local Bird Watcher Supply to pick up some mealworms and a few other feeding supplies.

Also noticed the hummingbirds are back off the nest and hitting the nectar feeders. I have a new digital camera, so hopefully I can get some good pictures to share. Thanks for visiting, Susan and Jim

The Eastern Bluebirds in the nestbox are working on the second brood of the season. Egg number five showed up Wednesday morning (05/22/2013). Still keeping the hummingbird feeder in front of the camera. We will not be able to put the seed feeder back in front of the feedercam until the tree limbs are cut back to keep the squirrels from jumping to the roof of the house. The hummingbirds are nesting as well right now, so there is not much going on in front of the camera. Thanks for visiting, Susan and Jim.

Hopefully, the squirrels will leave it alone. Thanks for visiting, Susan and Jim.
