Hummingbird Migration Update

September 28th, 2011

The numbers are down a bit from the last few weeks. However, we do still have adult male Ruby-throated Hummingbirds hanging around and they are the first to move on to their destination. I can check the activity more over the next few days to see if it is time to put the sunflower feeder back in front of the camera.

In the near future I will have to take the camera down for a few days to clean and stain the deck. I will provide updates on when and I may set up an alternate camera during that time. Thanks, Jim.

If you are watching for the hummingbird activity on the feeder cam, the most activity is in the early morning and then again in the evening. There are surges of activity during the day though.

The hummingbird activity has been pretty good the last few days. I am moving one of the feeders in front of the camera until activity dies down. Thanks, Jim and Susan.
